Affiliate disclosure

Some articles on Passing Build contain affiliate links. This page explains what that means for you.

An affiliate link is a link to a product or service that includes a tracking code. If you click it and buy, the company may pay us a commission. You pay the same price as you would without the link.

How we mark them

  • An article that contains affiliate links says so in its "At a glance" box, before the text begins.
  • Every affiliate link is tagged rel="sponsored nofollow", so search engines know it is a paid link.
  • Links appear only where the topic of the paragraph calls for the product. We do not add them for their own sake.

Editorial independence

Affiliate links never change our recommendations. We choose what to write about, and what to recommend, for its usefulness to readers; a commission is not a factor. Editorial decisions are not influenced by advertisers or affiliate partners, and a company cannot pay for a better mention.
